God has gifted the local church with elders who are called to equip the saints for the work of ministry and direct them in faith and godliness.

Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood. Acts 20:28

Consistent with the exhortation of Scripture, Mosaic is led by a team of Elders (Pastors), rather than one man who reports to a "board." This team governs, corrects, cares for (shepherds), and oversees the spiritual interests of the church. An Elder must be a Member of this church and lead a life that meets the qualifications of Scripture and embodies the calling, convictions, and commitments of Mosaic Church.

GREG BROWN

lead pastor

Greg was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved to Richmond when he was eight years old. After earning a Bachelor’s degree with a double-major in computer information systems and business administration and a minor in theology, he moved back to Richmond, married his best friend, and took a job as a web engineer. He was always interested in theology, but pastoral ministry wasn’t Greg’s plan. God’s plans were different.

After being called and appointed as a worship and executive pastor in 2014, Greg has spent several years developing as a pastor, elder, and teacher. His greatest passions are teaching, developing leaders, and preaching the Bible in a way that is intellectually consistent, engaging, and applicable. His greatest desire is to see Christians equipped with rock-solid theology and gospel-centered practice.

Greg enjoys reading, good coffee, traveling, playing guitar, and collects fountain pens. He and his wife, Ashley, reside in Mechanicsville, Virginia with their dog, August.
