Baptism is the privilege of every person who has repented of their sins and trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation.

Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? Acts 10:47

The Second London Baptist Confession of Faith summarizes baptism this way:

Baptism is an ordinance of the New Testament, ordained by Jesus Christ, to be unto the party baptized, a sign of his fellowship with him, in his death and resurrection; of his being engrafted into him; of remission of sins; and of giving up into God, through Jesus Christ, to live and walk in newness of life. - 2LBCF, Chapter 29, Paragraph 1

To put it more simply, baptism is the outward expression by which we are inducted into the body of Christ. When we are baptized, we are making a public declaration of our faith in Jesus. Even more, we are declaring with a loud voice, not what we have done, but what God has done in us.

If you trust in Jesus, you should be baptized in obedience to him. If you have not been baptized and desire to be, please speak with a pastor or send us an email. We are so excited to celebrate this important step with you!
